ALEXANDER

"The journey to the United States Military academy, West Point, was not one that started in my senior year or even my junior year. This long and life changing process started in the 2nd grade, where I knew that in my heart and mind I wanted to attend and graduate from West Point. Once that idea had been firmly planted in my head, there was no stopping it and only more work from then on. Through my elementary and middle school years, I participated in all that I could. From being student council president to trying out multiple sports. My formative years were filled with diverse experiences and learning opportunities. Once high school hit, I doubled down on my goals and initiatives. With being in nearly 9 AP classes, being selected for JROTC Battalion Commander, Student council member, and a Varsity athlete, I was committed to ensuring I was mentally, emotionally, and physically fit for life at West Point. The application process was extremely difficult with many Senator/Congressman Interviews, PT tests, essays, and medical examinations; it finally culminated on January 24, when West Point offered both me and my twin brother an appointment to the class of 2029. It was truly one of the greatest moments of my life, the work and effort lasting nearly 10 years was not in vain, I had achieved the goal I set as an ambitious second grade student. However, the one thing that I can say about this achievement is that it was not done alone. From teachers, Counselors, JROTC instructors, Coaches and most of all my family. There was a constant network of people fighting and rooting for the Cramer twins, for our family and future. My success is not my own, but can be attributed to the truly amazing people that have been with me along the way. I was born and raised in the state of Hawaii, and have been lucky enough to grow up in such a unique community and an even stronger country. Me and Constantine will not just represent the Cramer family at West Point, but we will represent Mililani, this Battalion and moreover, the State of Hawaii. I encourage everybody to take interest in serving our mighty nation. Our country will never be at a loss of adversaries, and it is the role of us, the younger generation, to combat evil, protect the nation and ensure peace for our world."

CONSTANTINE

"Hey Cadets, I am Cadet LTC Constantine Cramer and after high school, I will be attending the United States Military Academy at West Point. It was a long and tedious process but I’m glad I did it and can’t wait to attend West Point and serve my country.

I encourage all of my cadets to apply to the academies and seek out challenges."
