CADET INSTRUCTORS

My name is Javen Kau, and I am currently the battalion commander. My role in this battalion is to be responsible for the overall performance and activities, ensuring that our cadets are disciplined and have leadership. As we continue throughout the year, I hope to STAY and BE the number one battalion out of the other JROTC programs in our state. I want to help our cadets grow, be confident, and succeed in everything they do without being afraid of making mistakes.

He joined the JROTC program as a freshman in 2022 and will graduate in 2026. He has served in multiple roles, working in leadership and staff roles and served on multiple special teams. Outside of JROTC, he has worked in multiple extracurricular activities, including Wrestling and Civil Air Patrol and spends his free time with activities like weight lifting and Airsoft. 

After high school he intends to enlist in the US Army under an 18X contract, entering selection and try-outs to join the US Special Force, also known as the Green Berets.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Kayley morimoto

Supervises, directs, and coordinates the Trojan battalion staff to ensure the commander's intent is met.

Kayley Morimoto currently serves as the Trojan Battalion executive officer, and is responsible for coordinating and organizing staff members to plan, execute, and review events, objectives, and missions. 

She joined the JROTC program as a freshman in 2022 and will be graduating in the year 2026. She has participated in multiple Raider events and has experienced leadership roles. Outside of JROTC, she has been involved in many curricular activities, including clubs like surfing and basketball, and spends her free time working out in the gym and playing basketball.

 Kayley’s plan after graduation is to attend UH Hilo for four years. She plans on earning an ROTC scholarship and majoring in aeronautical science, in hopes of becoming a pilot in the future.

COMMAND SERGEANT MAJOR
Tyler Orazem

My name is Tyler Orazem and I am the Command Sergeant Major for the Mililani JROTC battalion for the school year 2025-2026. My role in this battalion is to provide examples, whether that be by showing leadership, discipline, good morals, and/or good communication skills. As well as oversee extracurricular activities hosted by JROTC. I offer a command presence alongside my peers, and we lead by example from the front together. My dreams and goals for this battalion are to unify the unit, motivate the cadets, and strive for success. 

 

Throughout the 2 years, CSM Orazem has been in JROTC, he was actively engaged in color guard and raiders. His dedication and time he gives to the program is inspiring and motivating for all cadets in the program. Orazem previously served as the company commander where he led and unified his company. After high school, Orazem plans to join the military as a chaplain.

Serves as an advisor to the commanders; along with supervising the cadets and special teams.
